I hope you have been enjoying your summer! As you know, I have continued to work on The Employee publication since the performance of the project ended far too long ago. I think I mentioned to you the last time we saw each other that in recent months, Lauren and I have been expanding the publication to include perspectives from cultural workers involved with artist-run culture. These more testimonial texts have really helped to balance out the premise of the project in the underwaging of cultural work.
Anyways, the other day I circled back to the presentation we gave with Fillip, and I made a transcript of your presentation so I could have easier access to your words. This once again made me realize that the publication would be missing an important component if your voice was not included. So. Would you be interested in working into this transcript, updating it, and including it in the publication?
I can offer a contributor's fee of $600 for this, in the hopes that a draft would be ready by the end of August.
I have some follow-up questions for the text, as well as draft essays by some of the contributors (others are still in process and not ready to share).
If you are interested I will send these. I just don't want to jump ahead in case you are too busy or otherwise unavailable to take this on.
