Hello Josh, Lauren,

I wanted to let you know where I'm at with the text. I feel like I've finally worked through those mental knots. I'm going to do line edits early tomorrow morning, and will be finished by the afternoon.

hi Josh, Lauren,

I've made some edits to the draft. I still think it runs a little too long.

- I forgot to turn on the 'suggestions' function, so some of the edits don't show up.  My apologies.
- intro may need some finessing on my part. I wasn't sure what had been written about already re: The Employee, and didn't want to overdo it, but could easily and happily do :)  I can most definitely fix this.
- I did a little restructuring, and ended up including a little more about my personal experience following both of your guiding questions.
- burnout/being under-resourced and unable to undertake the work required runs throughout, but may need some restructuring.

I'm free and around for the rest of the summer (no more kids or dog sitting for now), and can most certainly put more time into this. Just let me know.

Dear Bopha,

It’s wonderful to have this new edit. Thank you, sincerely, for working on this through kid and dog sitting responsibilities - I know how consuming that can be!

I have set aside this Saturday to do a close review of your text and will get back to you with a more fulsome reply.

Warmly until then,

Lauren

Dear Bopha,
Just to echo Lauren, I peeked at the updated text last night and am very excited by the expansions you have made.
Thank you again for your dedication and openness.
We will get back to you as soon as possible with more detailed notes. Just wanted to thank you and acknowledge receipt.
Warmly,
Josh

Hi Bopha,

It was a real pleasure to read this new version - you have done so much work to bring the essay into a place of specificity. Expanding on your experience and position has made your analysis stand with force that it is warranted, and situating The Employee allows me as a reader to immediately hook into your perspective.

Josh and I have both made a few minor comments throughout, and I’ve made a suggestion for the final paragraph that I would be grateful for you to consider. Once these last things are resolved, we can take it straight to a final copy edit!

As always, I’m here to chat if you would like.

With my best,
Lauren
