Hey everyone,

After MUCH delay, here it is.

The format has totally changed, and by now who knows how much if it still comes from the interview by whatever.

Also, I did NOT cover all the content discussed, but tried to both find a logic that stayed close to the subjects addressed by The Employee. For instance, I could go on abpit governance and how the councils are not employers, but didn't. I could go on about how the shift towards project grants (and changes in the actual job) contributes to a less peer-based relationship between arc workers and artists, but didn't. Honestly by the end I was just trying to end it.

Anyway, take a look and let me know what you think!

Hopefully it suits the needs enough to not require huge reworkings.

The exclamation marks are an indication of my sincerity and enthusiasm. This is such a powerful text and nails every single one of the key points we touched on in our conversation. I am totally blown away by how you found a way to organize the chaos of the audio transcript and so excited by how accurate, powerful, and nuanced this rendition is. It is SO organized, so clear, and has such immense force and directness.

I have a few minor edits and clarifications that I will send back to you as notes in the text in the next few days, but I gotta say, I am so grateful to you for pulling this together and for supporting this publication in such a massive way.

This is everything I hoped for and more.

Let’s check in next week once you have both done a read through!

There will for sure be a bit more work (parts in dark red need fact-checking), so feel free to make suggestions. I also have some quotes I was using to structure the text I could add back if it makes sense with the format of the book. Like you, I don’t want to spend another 6 months on this, but some back and forth is manageable and expected.

Glad I got some exclamation points from josh, the adult equivalent of gold stars, ha!
