Dear Lauren,
I am hoping to send Denise a more official email to set up our conversation. I was wondering if there is any further information that you think should go into this email before I send it?
I am also linking to an absolutely excellent article Denise published a few years ago in Canadian Art, which I think can be a useful bridge to our project. Do you see a way to formulate questions that could connect the article and our work? (For the interview prep document more than for this email specifically).
Also, in advance of the conversation with Denise it would be good to have a brief strategic meeting, since as I reread her previous text it makes me recognize that the current questions I have prepared in the document fail to incorporate what Denise has to offer, as evidenced by the linked text.

dear Denise,
Following up from our chats over Messenger, I wanted to set a date for a conversation between us and the publication co-editor, Lauren Wetmore.
The goal of this conversation will be to discuss The Employee in the context of Canadian artist-run culture and the related role of public funding bodies in determining the form and content of artist-run culture. We hope that your experience working within ARCs and especially your critiques of how public funding is structured will inform our conversation. We will record the conversation and use a transcription software to return a text to you following the conversation.
Let me know when you will have time – maybe an hour or a bit longer – for a zoom call – perhaps next week or the week after?
Lauren and I are both in the EU, so earlier would be better than later.
Looking forward to this so much, and thank you for trying so hard to make time for this, I know how busy you are these days.
warmly,
Josh
