Hi Josh,
I think that your text is ready to go into the copy editing stage! Everything seems resolved to me for this stage. Its an incredibly impressive text and you have done some really deep work to bring it into being.
Jessica seems like an incredible person to work with. If you agree, I will respond to her with more details so that she can propose a contract. As far as the timeline goes, I think I would like to ask her what her usual rate of working is, and how many edits she typically does to one text, so that we can know better what is possible.
Regarding your image choices, there is a lot of really great content there. In fact, I think that some of those images could be shared across the other essays. I think that we should try to stick to the rule of having a maximum of 5 images per text - although because yours is longer, it does make sense for there to be a few more images. In general though, I think that we can pare down or redistribute some images, which will also lend a better balance to the book in terms of space per essay.
I’m thinking more and more that we should sit down together with the available to images and distribute them across the existing texts. Because there is so much shared content, we should be able to include as much as possible.
