Hi Josh,

So great to work through this together.

I feel like this essay has come leaps and bounds! It is sitting now as a very complex and skilfully articulated analysis. It feel strong and exciting. Of course there are some small language and concept issues, but we can resolve those easily.

I’ve worked through the whole text now and agree with all your edits, except for two places where you make structural suggestions that I don’t think are necessary and might tip our edits over from rigorous into heavy-handed. I’ve made comments in the text on those places, let me know what you think.

Once you give me the go-ahead, I will share this edit with Marina!

Super. I just reviewed the second half. Totally agree with you, and am excited to see what is developing in this text. Your small tidying up of the text works magic on its readability, and I added comments only where I still felt ‘left out’ of the compaction of the text.

I ‘resolved’ the two comments that you think are unnecessary. You are right, these places are rather alright as they are.

I only added one further, quite minor, comment towards the end.

I feel ready / excited / and happy to share this back with Marina.
