greetings from Gatineau!

I am in the middle of putting together this massive show at GUQO, and part of it will include documentation of The Employee.

I am trying to make prints from the documentation, and I want to use the scans of your notes, but in many cases the scans cut off on the edges of the notebooks. I can't really work with these. I am wondering if there is any way you can rescan them to include the missing margins so there is a clean frame around the edges of the notebooks as well as showing the notes. If you scan each spread twice to capture the edges I can photoshop them back together. I know this would only be possible if the notebooks are nearby and not in Halifax, but I just wanted to ask and see if there is any chance. If so, it would also be great if they could be scanned at 600dpi.

I would need these by friday at the latest (I am sorry!!)

HI Josh,

Sorry for the delay in my response, we just got back to Halifax after a 12h drive on Tuesday. Would you be able to tell me which pages you'd like to have high quality/better scans of? Would you use all of them or only some? That would save me some time re-scanning, so just let me know. Louis-Charles has a scanner here so he could set me up tonight to do the scans you need.

oy! wow, 12h of driving sounds full-on.

How long are you going to be there for? I guess it's good timing that you are there, though :)

I am so sorry for the pressure of the scanning, it is only that I really need to have the full spread with the outline of the full notebook in order to use them (and I really want to use them).

If you could send 6 full spreads of your choice that would be great. Like I said, it's also ok if you send each spread in two or four scans that I can then composite in photoshop, the most important is that I can cut them out so that it looks like the notebook itself is lying open as an object.

Also, please take them at 600 dpi TIFF files.

Hi Josh,

Louis-Charles helped me out and he'll be sending you a WeTransfer link since the files are too large for regular email. Hope everything is okay and that you are able to use these (also can't wait to see photos of your show!!).

We're back in NS for the summer at least, probably going back to Montreal in the fall if LC is teaching at Concordia again...

I was hoping to see you later this month in Montreal, but I guess it will wait until later in August when I am at Struts…?
