Dear Camille and Josh,

Something unavoidable has come up that will have me away from my desk all day tomorrow. In short, my friend’s toddler is in the hospital and, as her wife is traveling for work, she needs help caring for her baby while they conduct tests.

I’m sorry to ask you to reschedule at the last minute, but I couldn’t let her down!

I am free any other day this week - just let me know what works for you two.

Best,
Lauren

Dear both,
Lauren — that sounds very stressful! I hope things turn out ok, and of course it’s understandable!
Would the same time on Wednesday work instead?

Hi again!

Thanks so much for meeting with me 🙂
I just thought of something obvious that I totally forgot to ask: how many words should the text be (I'm assuming there is a maximum lenght)?

Thanks!

Best,
Camille

Hi Camille,
We actually have a pretty loose approach to wordcount. In principle the wordcount should be adequate to what you want to say. We have been requesting texts between 2000-3000 words in length, but I have suggested that number as a minimum rather than maximum guideline, and as a way of offering people structure if needed.
I hope that make sense.
thanks for asking!

So lovely to meet you Camille!
Can’t wait to hear back about the outline.
We’re always here to support if needed.
Warmly,
Lauren
