The Employee by joshua schwebel
About this project

publication request

Josh Schwebel <privatejosh@gmail.com> To: Applicant 15 <█████████████████ >

Dear ██████,
We were last in communication a couple years ago because you were one of the applicants for The Employee project at FCG. I hope you have been well!
I am currently in the process of archiving the project outcomes, and am writing to ask your permission to reproduce the emails we exchanged, which I hope to include in the project documentation. This material will be anonymized, and published online.
The reason for this request is that the project as a whole became about making overwork and burnout within the arts visible.
These issues are not clearly articulated in single events, but accumulate over small increments.
My intention is to publish the archive of the project as completely as possible, as a way to show the quantity of work involved in the project, and also the intersection of work with personal life, which was more prevalent  than ever during the pandemic.
Your email application is a single document in this mountain of correspondence.
I have attached the exact documents to this email (I intend to block out personal information such as your name, your email address, mailing addresses, or phone numbers). I do not intend to publish anything other than what is included below. Please read these over and let me know if you would consent to allow me to use these documents. If you do not consent, or want anything else removed, please let me know as well. I want to respect your wishes. I would greatly appreciate it if I could hear back from you by next week (August 23), and will keep in touch to let you know when the project is published.
warm wishes,
Joshua Schwebel
