meeting prep

sorry I seem to have a penchant for writing you on the weekend, but I wanted to just check in in advance of our upcoming meeting with House9, to see if we need to prepare for the meeting in any way.

For my part, I think that we can re-present much of what we presented to art met, so we don't need to do additional prep work for the publication presentation. That being said, Farah and Louis, her illustrator, will have different questions about how we foresee the publication visually and aesthetically, so it might be worthwhile talking a bit in advance about aesthetic ideas. I am, in general, extremely open to your contributions on this front, and want to welcome your input and your voice in these decisions. So yeah, I just wanted to check in to see if you wanted to pre-meet to find a consensus for the publication style.

In other news, as you may have noticed from my recent correspondence with Marina, I have slowly and tentatively begun reaching out to people connected to the project to ask their consent for republishing our correspondence for the website.

I was nervous that people might feel betrayed by this capture of correspondence that had not been prepared to be 'on the record,' but so far people understand and are responding quite positively. So that is nice.

One other thing I wanted to check about is the timing of our potential meeting with █████████. I saw that in your message to House9 you wrote that you are free until August 5, and █████████ asked for us to speak again in early August, which leaves a narrow window of opportunity in order to not infringe on your break. I hope that we will be able to meet with him together, and that we can try to make it possible before that date, but it might be the case that he is slow to confirm. How would you like to proceed if we are not able to meet with him before then?

It was great to see Marina respond positively! Let’s talk about this on Wednesday in our pre-meeting as well.

Regarding my August schedule: I will be with family and traveling around on the west coast from 8-30 August, and trying not to work, but I am happy to slot in some meetings while I am there to keep things moving. Ideally we could meet with S before the 5th - but no problem if not, these are the days that I will be unavailable: 8 and 9, 12 to 14, 19 to 23, 29 and 30. I’m sure we can find a time!
