dear Mitchell,
I wanted to see if you had come to any resolution after my last email.
If it doesn't feel possible, just let me know, I am still holding out for you, but also completely understand and accept if it's not something you have the energy to do.
If you're not able to take it on, I would still love to find ways to keep in touch.
with love,
Josh

Hello Josh,

Thank you for your last email and for holding out hope, and sorry again for the silence.

I think considering it has taken me this many weeks and another nudge just to get back to you, it would be unfair to commit to writing something at this stage. I feel terrible for dragging the chain already and don't want to hold up the project further.

I do believe there are valuable crossovers between the work and the ideas in R.A., and it feels like such a shame to miss this opportunity to lay them out together in a concrete way, but I'm sure we'll continue to do so obliquely. I'd really love to keep in touch, and to find ways of working/talking together incrementally x

All the best with the next steps for the book,
Love and cheers,
M

Dear Mitch,
I understand your decision. It’s a shame for the publication, but l it makes sense. I expect that we will stay in touch, no doubt, and look forward to the next chance to work together hopefully at some point, in person.  warmest wishes and hugs,
Josh
