Fwd: Community Building Fund ███████████ ███ ████████ - Funding Decision

Thank you for submitting an application to the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) for the Community Building Fund. We appreciate the time and effort that went into the application, and we understand the commitment you have to the success of your organization’s mission.

OTF receives a very high volume of applications and while there are so many worthy proposals, we are only able to fund a limited number of grants. Unfortunately, we are not able to fund your application as outlined further in this letter.

We recognize you will be disappointed with this notification and are aware it is arriving at a time your organization is rebuilding its resilience to provide valued programs and services in your community.

Having reviewed your application as well as information available on your organization’s website and social media accounts, we have determined that your organization does not meet OTF’s and/or Community Building Fund’s eligibility requirements. More specifically:

• You did not submit appropriate financial documentation as required by the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF). Please review the Financial Statement Requirements. We require your organization’s most recent completed financial statements, which must include comparative information for the prior fiscal year - that is, financial statements that have been completed within twelve months of your organization’s fiscal year-end. A complete set of financial statements includes revenues and expenses, a balance sheet and accompanying notes.
