I hope you are keeping well, although under the current political circumstances, that is not an easy feat.
I am writing for two reasons. First, I wanted to send you an update about the Employee project (below), since it has been a long time since we last met and spoke about the project. But second, I wanted to ask for a letter confirming that Art Met will publish the forthcoming book. This is more urgent (april 6 deadline). I need this because the project has grown in scope (and cost) beyond what I had envisioned in my project proposal. I have exhausted the original project grant, and in order to print the publication at all, let alone have adequate resources to produce a high-quality archive of the project, I need to apply for an additional grant. As I am sure you know, the chances of my getting funding will be greatly improved with the support of your letter.
So now to update you on the progress of the Employee project. In the intervening months, the project continued, mostly as planned.
Following the conclusion of the performance (Oct. 15, 2021), I ended up with a massive quantity of materials and needed some time to organize the work and how it could be communicated as a publication. To work with me on that challenge I brought Lauren Wetmore on board as editor (Lauren co-hosts Momus, the Podcast, and is Canadian a writer, curator, and editor based in Brussels).
If you have time to meet in the coming weeks, I can give you an updated plan and schedule for the production, but as of now, I am hoping to have a completed draft ready by June of this year, and hopefully to have the book printed by the end of summer, fingers crossed.
Anyways, let me know if you want to meet over zoom, and if you would be able to send me a confirmation letter before April 5 (for a day's grace).
