The Employee Project

Josh Schwebel <privatejosh@gmail.com> To: Clive Robertson <███████████████>

dear Clive,
It has been some time since I have been in contact with you, and I hope you have been doing well.
I am writing to re-extend my invitation to you to write on my project, The Employee.
The project is nearing a close, and I am beginning work on the publication. Would it still be possible for you to contribute a critical text on the project?
my warmest regards,
Josh

Clive Robertson <███████████████>

Dear Josh,

Nice to hear from you. Thanks for re-inviting me to write a critical text. I have to decline as I have not written any essay for five years and for health reasons that is not likely to change.

Wishing you well with The Employee.

Bests, Clive x

Hi Clive,
Thanks for letting me know. I am sorry to hear that.
Is there anyone with expertise spanning labour issues in canadian artist-run culture, performance, and cultural administration that you can think of?
Best wishes,
Josh

Josh,

You probably have more up-to-date names than me - art & activism, political art, precarity and income related art projects abound; and MA and PhD projects.

Michael Miranda is a fan of this project and could/should write this ?!!  Craig Berggold is writing a doctoral thesis and is active in the basic income campaign. There are people at ARCA. All three sources would also be good for recommendations that cover specialists in arc, performance, and admin.

I am sure you are paying for the publication writing. My experience is that those qualified and habitually writing will write but also are overtasked with other writing obligations i.e they are not sitting around waiting for invites.
This said younger critics need chapter authoring for their scholarly or grant application needs.

Bests, Clive
